DEFACTO X has honoured the Future Store Challenge’s winners while hosting the competition’s jury final and award ceremony at its premises in Erlangen. The aim of the competition is to find innovative ideas that could revolutionise the retail shopping experience for consumers in the future and develop them to the point where they are ready to be marketed. This year, a total of 759 students studying a wide range of subjects took part, constituting 345 teams from 148 universities. 37 start-ups also participated. The Future Store Challenge - designed by Agorize and DEFACTO X - was supported in Germany by fashion and lifestyle company Breuninger and textile retailer Adler Modemärkte AG. Two winners, whose entries impressed in the areas of creativity, originality, precision and relevance - while also offering convincing benefits for their stakeholders - were chosen by the jury. They were Double Two and ShoeSize.ME
